Basketball Recap: Colton-Pierrepont's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Salmon River last Monday, Colton-Pierrepont came back down to earth. The Colton-Pierrepont Colts fell 51-39 to the St. Lawrence Central Larries on Thursday. The Colts were down 43-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Colton-Pierrepont lost, don't look at Ty Farns. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. Farns is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cody Trimm, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

With the defeat, Colton-Pierrepont broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for St. Lawrence Central, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Colton-Pierrepont will face off against Boquet Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Lawrence Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Madrid-Waddington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
