Basketball Recap: Woodson Takes a Loss

On Monday, Woodson faced Jackson-Reed in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Woodson Warriors had to suffer through a 58-28 loss at the hands of the Jackson-Reed Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Woodson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Jackson-Reed, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Woodson will challenge Ballou at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodson is facing Ballou at the right time seeing as Ballou is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Jackson-Reed, they will take on Bell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Bell: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Jackson-Reed has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
