Halifax Academy had won five straight home games and Payton Odom did her part to make it six on Tuesday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northeast Academy Eagles for which the team can thank Odom, who had eight aces and three digs. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Halifax Academy took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-14.

Halifax Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Northeast Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Halifax Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Ridgecroft on the 24th. Northeast Academy has also already played their next contest (against Pungo Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
