Trenton is a perfect 10-0 against Bell since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers will welcome the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Trenton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Trenton barely beat Madison County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cowboys with a sharp 8-2 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Mason VunCannon made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Trenton got a big performance out of Jordan Marlo, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Brant Bivens was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Bell hadn't done well against Branford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Buccaneers 5-4. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.
Chance Mandarino spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Brandon Aguilar was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Jordan Spears also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Bell is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Trenton, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Trenton beat Bell 7-2 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
