Basketball Game Preview: Mesa Vista Trojans vs. Bosque Bobcats

The Mesa Vista Trojans and the Bosque Bobcats will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Bosque took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mesa Vista, who comes in off a win.

Bosque will be up against a hot Mesa Vista team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Trojans strolled past Espanola Valley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-41.

Meanwhile, Bosque played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Hobbs 68-32. The loss put an end to the Bobcats' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Bosque saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Owen Custer posted ten points. Sullivan McCartney was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bosque fell to 2-1. As for Mesa Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
