Football Game Preview: Grace Christian Academy Rams vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish + Official Tickets

The Grace Christian Academy Rams will face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Notre Dame will be coming in after a defeat.

Notre Dame will be up against a hot Grace Christian Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Rams never let Lakeway Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rams' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Lions are ranked 151st).

Meanwhile, Notre Dame unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a 62-21 loss at the hands of Silverdale Academy. The Fighting Irish were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-21.

Despite the loss, Notre Dame saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucas Mathews picked up 128 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Notre Dame didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Akeem Cox and Tre Borchers.

Grace Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Grace Christian Academy took their victory against Notre Dame when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 42-17 score. In that matchup, the Rams amassed a halftime lead of 35-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
