Southern Wayne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past James Kenan with a 69-63 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Saints brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.

Southern Wayne got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kairell Evans out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Jaden Hardy was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Eastern Wayne waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the Panthers with an 81-75 victory. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Eastern Wayne's win came from a few key players Southern Wayne will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bobby Tann, who posted 24 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Bailey, who put up 22 points.

Southern Wayne moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Eastern Wayne, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
