Volleyball Game Preview: Pelion Panthers vs. Silver Bluff Bulldogs

The Pelion Panthers will challenge the Silver Bluff Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pelion has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 20.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Pelion came up short against Batesburg-Leesville, falling 3-0.

Pelion was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Batesburg-Leesville work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Silver Bluff came up short against Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Raiders 25-21 in the first set.

Silver Bluff started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-18.

Pelion's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15-1. As for Silver Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Pelion took their win against Silver Bluff in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
