Football Recap: Ramsey Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ramsey kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 41-21 to the Edgewood Warriors. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rams came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 111th in New Jersey, while the Warriors are ranked 349th in Ohio).

Edgewood was led to victory by Jaiven Pope and JJ Dufour. Pope rushed for 180 yards and one TD while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, while Dufour rushed for 46 yards and a pair of scores. Those 180 rushing yards gave Pope a new career-high. Dezarion Triplin was in the mix as well, providing Edgewood with one touchdown.

Edgewood has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Ramsey will head out to face off against Dwight Morrow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Rams' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Edgewood, they will host Girard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
