Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Finds Home Field Redemption Against North Smithfield

There's no place like home for Mt. Pleasant, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the North Smithfield Northmen on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Kilties in their matchups with the Northmen: they've now won five in a row.

Mt. Pleasant's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Smithfield, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
