Basketball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo was the 69-60 winner over Cambridge when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Waterloo Pirates had to suffer through an 86-42 loss at the hands of the Cambridge Bluejays. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while the Bluejays are ranked 49th).

Waterloo's loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Cambridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Waterloo is taking a road trip to take on New Glarus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cambridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Belleville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
