Baseball Recap: Quaboag Regional Takes a Loss

Quaboag Regional had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it 12. They came up short against the Bartlett Indians, falling 9-2. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 10-9 to the Indians when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Bartlett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against Quaboag Regional since May 14, 2018.

For Bartlett's part, the team relied heavily on Luigi Villegas, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Adam Urato was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Quaboag Regional will be playing in front of their home fans against Leicester at 3:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Bartlett, they will face off against Grafton at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Gators' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
