Chief Sealth entered their tilt with Seattle Academy on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win. This was payback for the Seahawks, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Chief Sealth might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Seattle Academy scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 26-24.

Despite the defeat, Seattle Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maxine Truong had 14 digs and two assists.

Chief Sealth's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Seattle Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chief Sealth will square off against Highline at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seattle Academy, they will face off against Holy Names Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
