Football Recap: St. Dominic Crusaders vs. MICDS Rams
Friday just wasn't the day for St. Dominic's offense. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of the MICDS Rams on Friday. It was the first time this season that the Crusaders let down their fans at home.
Brian Gould was his usual excellent self, rushing for 92 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries for MICDS. That's the most rushing yards Gould has posted since back in August. Cameron Cooper was another major influence, as he rushed for 68 yards and ran in a TD.
St. Dominic's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for MICDS, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Dominic will head out to challenge Westminster Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for MICDS, they will venture away from home to take on Mexico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. MICDS is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 30.4 points per game this season.
