Baseball Recap: Bristol Wins Going Away Against Windham

Bristol made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Windham, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers blew past the Bombers 13-3 on Monday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Bristol got a big performance out of Ronald Imhoff, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Imhoff is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Jack Berry was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Bristol has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Windham, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Bristol will be playing at home against Heartland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Windham, they will take on Maplewood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
