Basketball Recap: Bonneville Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Bonneville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Viewmont Vikings. If the Lakers were looking for revenge after losing 74-50 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Bonneville lost, don't look at Ben Tesch. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 39.1% of Bonneville's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Viewmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drezdon Jensen, who earned 16 points. Jensen's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carson Tovey, who put up six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Bonneville's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-9. As for Viewmont, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Bonneville will be playing in front of their home fans against Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Bonneville likes a good challenge. As for Viewmont, they will venture away from home to square off against Clearfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Viewmont is facing Clearfield at the right time seeing as Clearfield is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
