Volleyball Recap: Jocelyn Schechter and Tatawan Vongfak Secure Win for Marlborough

Marlborough had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Providence Pioneers. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pioneers, too.

Marlborough was led to victory by Tatawan Vongfak and Jocelyn Schechter. Vongfak had 16 digs and two assists, while Schechter had ten assists. That's the most digs Vongfak has posted over her last three matchups. Jemma Tsoneff also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Marlborough now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Providence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.

Marlborough has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Oakwood on the 27th. As for Providence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Granada Hills Charter on the 29th.
