Recap: Bristow Pirates vs. Perkins-Tryon Demons
The Bristow Pirates came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Perkins-Tryon 65-50. Given Bristow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Perkins-Tryon is ranked 370th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Addi Alexander, who scored 29 points along with five assists. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shalyn Edmondson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Bristow's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Perkins-Tryon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bristow will square off against Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Perkins-Tryon, they will head out on the road to face off against Sperry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sperry and Perkins-Tryon are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
