Lausanne Collegiate won the last time they faced Evangelical Christian and Marterius Boyd did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lynx put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 42-17 victory on Friday thanks in part to Boyd, who rushed for 173 yards and three TDs. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 91-yard run.

Lawrence Britt was another key player, picking up 83 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He also put up two receiving touchdowns, which were his first of the season.

Evangelical Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Elliot Caswell, who rushed for 129 yards on only 12 carries. Evangelical Christian also got help from Ezra Caswell, who showed off his sure hands for 93 receiving yards.

Lausanne Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Evangelical Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lausanne Collegiate will venture away from home to take on Collierville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lynx's defense better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 42.4 points per game this season. As for Evangelical Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northpoint Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
