Baseball Recap: Fort Zumwalt East Takes a Loss

Fort Zumwalt East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the North Point Grizzlies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-5 defeat on Tuesday.

Fort Zumwalt East's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for North Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-1 record this season.

Fort Zumwalt East will head out on the road to face off against Troy-Buchanan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Point, they will take on St. Charles at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
