Volleyball Recap: Cheyenne Mountain Triumphs

Cheyenne Mountain hadn't done well against Mountain Vista recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red-Tailed Hawks came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red-Tailed Hawks.

While Cheyenne Mountain might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mountain Vista scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 28-26.

Landry Roberts paced Cheyenne Mountain's offense, picking up 19 kills. Roberts got some help from Kaisa Dowd and her 17 assists. Dowd was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mountain Vista's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sofia Posada, who had 18 digs. Another player making a difference was Brie Bowyer, who had 16 assists and four digs.

The win got Cheyenne Mountain back to even at 2-2. As for Mountain Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.
