Soccer Recap: Garden Grove Comes Up Short

Garden Grove lost against Laguna Hills on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Garden Grove Argonauts fell just short of the Laguna Hills Hawks by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Argonauts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 638th, while the Hawks are ranked 306th).

Garden Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Laguna Hills, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garden Grove has already played their next matchup (against Buena Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Laguna Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Costa Mesa at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Laguna Hills is facing Costa Mesa at the right time seeing as Costa Mesa is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
