Volleyball Recap: Northwest Texans vs. Keller Central Chargers

Northwest entered their tilt with Keller Central on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Keller Central Chargers 3-2. This was payback for the Texans, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Northwest wouldn't go down easily and took Keller Central into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 15-12.

Leading Northwest to victory were Camille Ortman and Ariah Perez. Ortman had 15 digs, while Perez had 12 kills and three digs.

Defeat or not, Keller Central got some senior leadership from Britney Hoover and Addison Ortega. Hoover had 15 digs and two aces, while Ortega had 22 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Ortega has posted since back in September of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Richardson, who had eight digs and 19 assists.

Northwest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season. As for Keller Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 24-18.
