Basketball Recap: Scott's Branch Comes Up Short

Scott's Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the East Clarendon Wolverines. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolverines 13-8 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Scott's Branch still got an impressive performance from Nigel Lawson, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Nyren Bowman, who put up nine points.

Scott's Branch's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East Clarendon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott's Branch will welcome Manning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Clarendon, they will host Lake City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
