It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Columbia had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Ridgeview Panthers a 5-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Ridgeview with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Niki Sossie (2), Laelle Thompson, Paola Ortiz, and Mia Brasel.

The win (which was Columbia's third in a row) raised their record to 13-3-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Ridgeview, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14-1.

Columbia will face off against Orange Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Orange Park's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last six contests. Ridgeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
