Baseball Recap: Detroit Country Day Comes Up Short

Detroit Country Day fell victim to Lutheran North and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 9-0. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 19-5 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in June of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Detroit Country Day and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Lutheran North, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Detroit Country Day will face off against Lamphere at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lutheran North, they have already played their next contest, a 10-1 victory against Gabriel Richard on the 26th.
