Baseball Recap: Tri-Central Comes Up Short

Tri-Central had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 4-15 to make it five. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sheridan Blackhawks. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Sheridan's part, not much got past Jack Oland, who gave up just four hits to keep Tri-Central off the board.

On the hitting side, Dayne Voege was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Hall, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Tri-Central and Sheridan are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Trojans will face off against Southern Wells at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tri-Central's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Sheridan, they will be playing at home against Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
