Softball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Glenn

It was a proper cat-fight when Glenn challenged Alma on Wednesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Panthers. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 12 runs or more this season.

Glenn got a great performance from Dani Weiss as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Glenn let Hadley Keister and Gabi Mezey run wild. Keister went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI, while Mezey got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Keister a new career-high. Drue Busch was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Glenn lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Glenn's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Alma, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenn will host Swan Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alma, they will be playing at home against Cadillac at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
