Volleyball Recap: McKinney Boyd Takes a Loss

If McKinney Boyd was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Princeton on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Broncos lost 3-0 to the Plano West Wolves on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While McKinney Boyd was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Plano West's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-20, 25-21.

McKinney Boyd has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Plano West, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McKinney Boyd is set to take on their familiar foe Prosper at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Plano West will face off against rival Plano East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
