Softball Recap: Hillside Comes Up Short

Hillside lost against Chapel Hill on April 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets came up short against the Tigers, falling 15-1. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Foster, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Hillside's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Chapel Hill, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Hillside will square off against Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 12.5 runs per game this season. As for Chapel Hill, they will head out to take on Wesleyan Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.08 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
