Baseball Recap: Soledad Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Soledad's offense. They came up short against the Palma Chieftains on Tuesday, falling 16-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Aztecs have suffered since March 25th.

Soledad dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Palma, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Palma will square off against Bellarmine College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bells' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Chieftains' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Soledad will be paying especially close attention to Palma's game: after Palma faces off against Bellarmine College Prep, they'll take on Soledad again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
