Volleyball Recap: Northside Takes a Loss

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waukegan Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Northside was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Aaron Agnew and Daniel Nguyen, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Mitch Abe and his seven assists. Filip Zakrzewski controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northside's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Waukegan, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.

Northside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Payton College Prep on the 6th. Waukegan has also already played their next contest (against Lake Forest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
