League recap: Morton/White Pass extends winning streak with victory over North Beach

Morton/White Pass added to the longest winning streak in 2B Central this week by beating North Beach, 55-14. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.

Onalaska took down Winlock 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Morton/White Pass' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rylon Kolb threw for 271 and 4 touchdowns and Kalen Dunlap had 159 yards receiving. On the ground Brian Reynolds chipped in 131 yards. Ben Powell helped Morton/White Pass' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 58 yards.

He went 11-12 with 0 interceptions.

Kolb put up the best numbers in passing as Aaron Poquette's team bested the Hyaks. Kolb's favorite target this week was Dunlap, who caught 4 passes for 159 yards.

Morton/White Pass' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Timberwolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kolb has thrown for 1,184 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Dunlap has 17 catches for 483 yards.

The Timberwolves' Reynolds needs only 100 yards against Mossyrock next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 112 carries Reynolds has accumulated 900 yard this year.

The Loggers are currently in fourth, while Adna is in fifth.

There should be lots of points scored when Morton/White Pass and the Vikings face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Timberwolves comes in having scored 394 this season, while Mossyrock has scored 125. Morton/White Pass scored 55 points last week as it defeated North Beach.
