Baseball Recap: Alpine Falls Short of Lamesa in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alpine can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the Lamesa Tornadoes on Friday. The Bucks have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Alpine's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Lamesa, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lamesa beat Alpine by a score of 6-2 on Saturday.
