Softball Recap: Creekside Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Creekside Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-1 to the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-6 last Friday.

Creekside Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aviana Mathis, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Creekside Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Scholars Guild Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Creekside Christian Academy Cougars take on Trinity Prep Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Trinity Prep has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Scholars Guild Academy, they will host Covington Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
