Volleyball Game Preview: Branson Bulls vs. Rocklin Thunder + Official Tickets

Branson is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Rocklin is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bulls will host the Thunder at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Branson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against St. Ignatius College Preparatory as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-21.

Saint Francis came into Wednesday's contest looking for another win against Rocklin, but Devon Schweitzer wouldn't allow it. The Thunder put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday thanks in part to Schweitzer, who had 11 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

While Rocklin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 28-26.

Branson's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Rocklin, their win bumped their record up to 35-4.

Branson couldn't quite get it done against Rocklin when the teams last played back in November of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Thankfully for the Bulls, Mackenzie Murphy (who had 18 digs and four assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
