Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Lee). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Passaic Indians a 13-0 shutout on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bridgemen needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Fort Lee's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Passaic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Fort Lee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Pascack Hills on the 3rd. As for Passaic, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastside at 4:30 p.m. on the 12th.
