Walkertown is a perfect 6-0 against T.W. Andrews since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Walkertown Wolfpack will be playing at home against the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
T.W. Andrews will be up against a hot Walkertown squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Walkertown's pitcher stepped up to hand Greater Vision Academy a 24-0 shutout on Monday. While the Wolfpack didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
David Olmedo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
In other batting news, Walkertown got a massive performance out of Dakota Larimore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Larimore also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Caden Joyce, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Walkertown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, T.W. Andrews brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on Parkland with a sharp 20-6 victory on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Red Raiders as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Walkertown pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for T.W. Andrews, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Everything went Walkertown's way against T.W. Andrews in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Walkertown made off with a 19-4 victory. Will Walkertown repeat their success, or does T.W. Andrews have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
