Baseball Recap: Knightdale Comes Up Short

Knightdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 19-9 to the East Wake Academy Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly ten runs.

Anthony Garcia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tylen Harris, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Knightdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for East Wake Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knightdale will challenge Rolesville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Wake Academy, they will square off against Grace Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
