Basketball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside lost against Northridge back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverside Pirates were dealt a 76-43 loss at the hands of the Northridge Polar Bears. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 703rd, while the Polar Bears are ranked 122nd).

Riverside's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Northridge, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside has already played their next matchup (against Troy Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northridge will head out on the road to take on Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
