Recap: Neosho Wildcats vs. Joplin Eagles
The Neosho Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 59-28 loss at the hands of Joplin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Neosho has scored all season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colton Southern, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kanten Smith, who scored five points along with two steals.
Neosho has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Joplin, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neosho will square off against McDonald County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neosho is coming into the contest with ten straight defeats on the road, meaning McDonald County will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Joplin, they will take on Willard at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Willard will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Joplin surely won't give up without a fight.
