Volleyball Recap: Mission Hills' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Mission Hills was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Ramona last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Classical Academy Caimans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Grizzlies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Caimans from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Mission Hills actually scored more points across those five sets (103-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 13-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mission Hills fell to 2-1. As for Classical Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Hills will take on Rancho Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Classical Academy and El Camino will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
