With a playoff win on the line, Western rose to the challenge on Saturday. They didn't even let the Mississinewa Indians on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won 15 contests in a row.

Kylie Miller made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brynley Erb, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Western's record is now 28-3. As for Mississinewa, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 21-5 record.

Western wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Hanover Central on the 7th. Mississinewa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
