Basketball Recap: Marty Indian Comes Up Short

Marty Indian and Gregory squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Marty Indian had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 73-42 loss at the hands of the Gregory Gorillas. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Gorillas: they've now lost five in a row.

Cruz Klundt was his usual excellent self, going 7-for-11 en route to 19 points in addition to eight assists and four steals for Gregory. Klundt has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Bearshield, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 16 points along with five boards and three steals.

Marty Indian's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Gregory, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Marty Indian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gregory, they have already played their next matchup, a 47-12 win against Corsica/Stickney on the 8th.
