East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Antoine Williams out in front who posted 28 points along with seven boards and three steals. Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for East, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

East was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverside in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 67-56. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Riverside's Landon Jaeckle, who put up 15 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.
