Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Warriors vs. Hundred Hornets

The Trinity Christian Warriors will square off against the Hundred Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Trinity Christian and ten for Hundred.

Trinity Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 63-52 to Bethlehem Center on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 104th in West Virginia, while the Bulldogs are ranked 380th in Pennsylvania).

Meanwhile, Hundred had to suffer through a 55-27 loss at the hands of Bridgeport.

Despite the defeat, Hundred saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Johni Yeager dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Yeager has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Aliyah Shreve was another key player, putting up eight points.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hundred, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Trinity Christian took their victory against Hundred in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 52-27. Will Trinity Christian repeat their success, or does Hundred have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
