Mooresville dropped their record down to 15-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Lake Norman Wildcats, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Lake Norman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games.

For Lake Norman's part, Vivian Billard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Billard has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Olivia Wolf was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kail Panaccione, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
