Soccer Game Preview: Gaffney vs. Riverside

Gaffney is 0-3 against Riverside since March of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Indians will face off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Having struggled with 13 losses in a row, Gaffney turned things around against Woodruff on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolverines, sneaking past 3-2.

Meanwhile, Riverside waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Rebels get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Riverside wouldn't have won without Landry Franklin, who scored the game-winner.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Gaffney, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.

Gaffney suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Riverside in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
