Basketball Game Preview: Lewiston Blue Devils vs. Oxford Hills Vikings

Lewiston is 0-10 against Oxford Hills since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lewiston Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Oxford Hills Vikings at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Lewiston came up short against Messalonskee and fell 48-37. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oxford Hills). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Mt. Blue 78-21. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Cougars are ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oxford Hills pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Lewiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
