Baseball Recap: Clinton's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Clinton was riding high fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Faith Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 9-6 to the New Glarus Glarner Knights on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Clinton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Wesling, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Grayson Guestchow was another, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clinton fell to 2-1.

Clinton and New Glarus will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars are set to face off against their familiar foe East Troy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, New Glarus will take on rival Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
